The use of women's bodies will soon become a mere performance to put on, a skin to wear, and a womb to gestate
In yet another attempt to propagate ‘gender identity’ ideology, a new organisation has sprouted in India. According to their website, TALMS or Trans:Alms is a “charity foundation to help transgender people with monetary grants for transitional surgeries across the globe through personal and corporate funding.” Founded by a trans-identifying female and her mother (who serves as the Director) the work of TALMS was lauded as part of the Pride Month celebrations. Though there are several charity organisations supporting the entire alphabet soup (and none for LGB exclusively), TALMS’ unique selling point is that it is wholly limited to financing ‘trans’ surgeries.
Mann Chavan, the trans-identified founder, resolutely claims:
“…Medically transitioning can be a great relief to alleviate gender dysphoria and help transgender people assimilate into their gender. Unfortunately, medical transition involves heavy costs that most trans people may not be able to access. I aim to bridge this gap through providing monetary relief.”
Her mother, Gita Chavan says something far more egregious;
“Finances play a crucial role and I had my share of feeling the crunch to save our son (sic). (…) At 70, I feel it’s high time I stepped up and came out to the world along with my son to make the change. It’s a war out there. Your son or daughter is fighting alone. Let’s Help them.”
Existing provisions for HRT and surgeries for ‘transgender’
Just as we observe in the West, the LGBT community in India also appears hyper focused solely on the T. With so much attention and resources directed at lobbying in the interests of this one letter of the acronym, they have made impressive gains in legal protections. The rights of transgender persons are governed by an exclusive Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 and the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Rules, 2020. Under the Rules, an application to self declare a ‘gender’ is to be submitted to the District Magistrate. It also allows parents to make an application “on behalf of their child.”
While the upwards trajectory in acquistion of protections for the transgender community has been staggeringly swift, advances in rights and and protections for homosexuals, by contrast, are shamefully stagnant. It wasn’t until 2018 that Section 377 was overturned and homosexuality decriminalised. A judgement passed by the Supreme Court of India was just the first leg of the long-drawn battle for social legitimacy by the community. Issues such as same sex marriage, inheritance of property, and civil rights are yet to receive legal sanction.
The word ‘feminism’ has been misconstrued and misappropriated. Rather than to advocate for the rights of women and girls as intended, the once noble word ‘feminism’ has now seemingly come to mean priotising the ilks of they/thems and painting them to be the ‘most marginalised’ of all humanity!
As same sex attracted people twiddle their thumbs waiting for government action on their marriage and inheritance rights, the government is otherwise disposed, busily rolling out a number of transgender healthcare strategies. One such stratagem overseen by the Social Justice Ministry, the Ayushman Bharat Transgender health insurance scheme, (part of the ‘Support for Marginalised Individuals for Livelihood and Enterprises – SMILE’) provides a Rs 5 lakh coverage for Hormone Replacement Therapy, surgeries, and post-surgical care at government and empanelled private hospitals. But this scheme is limited to those who have a ‘transgender’ identity card. Often, this card is procured by trans-identifying men living in rural or economically impoverished households. The modern-day pronoun chanting younguns who self identify as non-binary find these identity cards to be ‘problematic’ to say the least. The privileged ones resort to private hospitals anyway, or create crowdfunders for their various surgeries – some of which are for amounts that would make anyone’s jaw drop.
Corporate, too, have taken on the woke agenda wholesale by offering insurance policies for ‘trans and nonbinary’ employees that cover a plethora of surgeries and a considerable paid leave for recuperation. For context, India’s female workforce has yet to achieve maternity benefits, sufficient protections against sexual harassment, and employment discrimination for being of ‘marriageable age’ or pregnant. The word ‘feminism’ has been misconstrued and misappropriated. Rather than to advocate for the rights of women and girls as intended, the once noble word ‘feminism’ has now seemingly come to mean priotising the ilks of they/thems and painting them to be the ‘most marginalised’ of all humanity!
The HIV route to ‘trans’ industry
Several policies set out to control the spread of HIV had indeed an honourable goal in mind. As per the data on UNAIDS website, in 2020 alone US$ 269.8 million was raised; US$ 257.8 million of which was contributed by 28 governments; US$ 6.3 million from UNAIDS Cosponsors; and US$ 3.9 million received from intergovernmental organisations, other United Nations Organisations, institutions, as well as the private sector. Instead of carrying on their mission to end HIV AIDS, this UN body has taken a detour. It is going after the ‘transgender children’ – an abhorrent pursuit to permanently sterilise children in India through several programmes like ‘unbox me’ – which I covered extensively in a previous article.
UNAIDS is not alone. A press release read:
“On April 2 [2019], USAID India committed a sum of at least $20 million to Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for a period of five years ending April 1, 2024. The Elton John AIDS Foundation has committed an additional $2 million to expand the scope of this program.”
Meanwhile, John Hopkins in collaboration with Fenway Institute and USAID set up ‘India’s first transgender clinic’ (later several more). Trans-identified men are one of the key populations alongside migrant workers, truck drivers, and men who use intravenous drugs, most susceptible to HIV infections. A staggering 90 percent of trans-indentifying men depend upon prostitution for their livelihoods, furthering their susceptibility to HIV infection to 49 times more than that of the general population. Why are all these foreign organisations falling over each other to provide absolutely unrelated services as if it were a solution to a potential AIDS infection? In an interview, Dr Prachi Rathore (a trans-identifying male), medical officer, Mitr Clinic (funded by above-mentioned orgs) details the nature of his work and confirms that all affiliated clinics are funded by programmes like ACCELERATE:
“Not only transitions, but we also care for their personal health. We know very well about transgenders who work as sex workers (sic). We also diagnose and treat STIs, and we also help patients who are HIV positive and we link up their ART centres and we make sure the endurance level should be good… Mitr clinic is the only clinic that is exclusively designed for transgenders. It was established on January 29, 2019. Initially, we started with a single branch in Hyderabad but right now we have five branches all over India, which are Rangareddi, Pune, Thane, and Lucknow.”
But it strikes me as odd that a centre funded for AIDS prevention speaks of sexually transmitted disease testing almost as an afterthought, while focussing on ‘transition’ as an intended outcome. Furthermore the percentage of trans identified males in prostitution suggests that transition itself is too often a pathway to the sex trade- ergo increasing their vulnerability to STDs.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds and the ‘trans’ industry
TALMS is registered as a Non Profit Foundation in Maharashtra (India) – but allegedly operates worldwide – under Section 8 (1) of the Companies Act, 2013. It comes with a 12A and 80G status. These statuses provide corporations with tax exemptions for any donations they might be willing to make. The CSR fund is a goldmine for non-profits to tap into as the amount goes unutilised if not disbursed within the stipulated time. Given that ‘transgender’ is the most sought after ‘social cause’ everyone wants to get behind, several corporations have set aside large sums of money for it. Some of the biggest contributors of CSR projects are also actively profiting from it. The FMCG (Fast Moving Consumable Goods) sector especially has made a glaring switch to support all things ‘fashionably virtuous,’ with an added rainbow tax.

Unsurprisingly, TALMS too seems to seek out corporations by delivering training and workshops, urging organisations to come forward to partake in CSR collaboration. The training provided is apparently designed for Government / Private Hospitals, Government & Corporate offices with diversity, inclusion & LGBTQ+ healthcare policies, NGO, Trust, foundations working towards betterment of Healthcare facilities, Pharmaceuticals / Medical manufacturers, Medical Educational Institutions / Universities, Allied & Healthcare professionals – which pretty much leaves nobody left to indoctrinate! Soon, there will be more such ‘charity foundations’ sweeping in for its share in the market – charging a premium to deliver relatively inexpensive training of their own devising.

As I have observed in my years of opposition to gender ideology, it is very clear that things are about to get worse before the general population wakes up to its harms. And I always maintain that I’m not anti anything other than the endless forms of misogyny; and gender identity ideology is the neo-misogyny that’s actively seeking to erase ‘female’. The use of women’s bodies will be for nothing more than a performance to put on, a skin to wear, and a womb to gestate.
In an excellent article, Jo Brew argues how transgenderism is the new operating system for patriarchy. She concludes:
“Far from being a befuddling mystery, the lightning fast global uptake of transgender ideology is useful in that it reveals how the patriarchy works. Like a bolt of lightning on a stormy night revealing the landscape, transgender ideology has illuminated the structure of patriarchy. Organizations and professions have not been “captured” by transgender ideology. To be captured implies that they were taken over against their will. They have installed the new operating system because it helps them do their job, which is implementing patriarchy.”
